<p id="isPasted">If your LifeStraw Escape is not holding pressure or experiencing a slow flow, try these troubleshooting steps.</p><ol><li>A new LifeStraw Escape filter can take some time to filter water through, as it is a purifier rather than a traditional filter. The flow can vary as much as +/- 30%. The carbon filter is especially dense and can cause the water to be slower in flow initially. Allowing water to fully saturate the carbon filter and backwashing a couple of times can help improve the flow.&#xA0;</li><li>Air bubbles can occasionally get trapped in the membrane, which may slow performance. You can try gently releasing some of the pressure as you filter, which can help free those bubbles and improve the flow.</li><li>Is the pressure release valve closed (D)? Be sure that the pressure release valve is not stuck in the open position. Usually, a hissing sound will be coming from the unit, which means the pressure valve could be stuck in the open position. The Peak Straw can also attach to many standard single use water bottles.</p><h3 data-section-id="14sy96r" data-start="413" data-end="477" id="can-i-use-my-peak-squeeze-filter-with-a-peak-gravity-system">Can I use my Peak Squeeze filter with a Peak Gravity System?</h3><p data-start="478" data-end="734">Yes. The membrane microfilter from the Peak Squeeze can be removed from the squeeze cap and attached to either the 3L or 8L Peak Gravity System. Once attached, connect the hose and let water flow through using gravity.</p><h3 data-section-id="12r2mqq" data-start="736" data-end="800" id="can-i-use-my-peak-gravity-filter-with-a-peak-squeeze-bottle">Can I use my Peak Gravity filter with a Peak Squeeze bottle?</h3><p data-start="801" data-end="1041">Yes. The filter from the 3L or 8L Peak Gravity System can be removed and threaded into the Peak Squeeze cap. This lets you use the same filter for sipping or squeezing water from the collapsible bottle.</p><h3 data-section-id="gczo0n" data-start="1043" data-end="1115" id="can-i-use-the-peak-straw-with-the-peak-squeeze-or-3l-gravity-system">Can I use the Peak Straw with the Peak Squeeze or 3L Gravity System?</h3><p data-start="1116" data-end="1342">Yes. The Peak Straw can thread onto compatible Peak reservoirs, including the Peak Squeeze bottle and the 3L Gravity System, so you can drink directly from the reservoir through the straw.</p><h3 data-section-id="1vvt13i" data-start="1344" data-end="1393" id="can-i-use-the-peak-straw-with-a-gravity-hose">Can I use the Peak Straw with a gravity hose?</h3><p data-start="1394" data-end="1626">Yes. The Peak Straw has a built in hose attachment, so it can be connected to a gravity hose and used with gravity flow. If air gets trapped in the hose, flow may slow until the air is released.</p><h3 data-section-id="1r02si" data-start="1628" data-end="1693" id="can-i-use-the-peak-gravity-purifier-with-the-peak-system">Can I use the Peak Gravity Purifier with the Peak system?&#xA0;</h3><p data-section-id="1r02si" data-start="1628" data-end="1693">Yes. You can attach the Gravity Purifier to the Gravity 3L. &#xA0;We don&apos;t recommend attaching to anything smaller as the force of water is not strong enough to filter through the Gravity Purifier.</p><h3 data-section-id="1r02si" data-start="1628" data-end="1693" id="can-i-use-the-peak-straw-with-a-regular-plastic-water-bottle">Can I use the Peak Straw with a regular plastic water bottle?</h3><p data-start="1694" data-end="1889">Yes. The Peak Straw can attach to the outside of most standard single use water bottles with compatible threads. It is not designed to fit inside the bottle.</p><h3 data-section-id="1jfpkfp" data-start="1891" data-end="1953" id="is-the-peak-solo-part-of-this-same-interchangeable-system">Is the Peak Solo part of this same interchangeable system?</h3><p data-start="1954" data-end="2345">The Peak Solo is part of the Peak Series, but I did not find the same official cross compatibility instructions for it that LifeStraw provides for the Peak Straw, Peak Squeeze, 3L Gravity, and 8L Gravity products. To avoid overstating compatibility, I would leave Peak Solo out of this FAQ unless you want a separate article just for Solo use and setup.</p><h3 data-section-id="16xerv" data-start="2347" data-end="2415" id="do-i-need-to-do-anything-after-switching-parts-between-products">Do I need to do anything after switching parts between products?</h3><p data-start="2416" data-end="2670">Yes. After use, LifeStraw recommends clearing excess water from the filter. For the Peak Squeeze and gravity membrane filters, backwash with the syringe. For the Peak Straw, blow air through the mouthpiece after use.</p><h2 data-section-id="q13zdx" data-start="2672" data-end="2699" id="simple-way-to-explain-it">Simple way to explain it</h2><p data-start="2700" data-end="3139">If two Peak products use the same threaded filter connection, they can often be swapped for different use cases. That means you can move between sipping, squeezing, bottle use, and gravity filtration without needing a completely separate system.&#xA0;</p><p data-start="3141" data-end="3210"><br></p>
