To get the best performance from your Sip Essential, we recommend following these first use steps:

1. Rinse the exterior of the straw with safe drinking water
2. Place the end with the clear silicone plug into water
3. Begin sipping through the mouthpiece
   • The first few sips may take more effort while the filter hydrates
4. After use, blow air back through the straw and gently shake it to remove remaining water
5. Close both caps once no additional water is expelled

This helps activate the filter and ensures proper performance from the start.
