What is the yellow stuff on the end of the Microfilber membrane

The yellow material is a medical-grade epoxy resin. During production, this resin is used to pot (or “seal in”) the hollow fiber membranes at the ends of the filter. Its job is to hold the thousands of fibers firmly in place, preventing them from shifting or leaking around the edges. The resin is fully cured during manufacturing, so it’s stable, non-toxic, and safe for contact with drinking water.
