Cleaning and Maintaining Peak Series Bags and Reservoirs

To properly maintain your Peak Series bag or reservoir, we recommend an initial cleaning at set up and regular cleaning throughout your use of the product. These steps will help ensure thorough cleaning of the interior of the reservoir and will improve the taste issues from the bag.

You will need water, baking soda, and lemon juice.

  1. Remove Cap and Filter: Take off the cap and detach the filter. Set the filter aside in a clean area.
  2. Fill with Water: Pour warm water into the bag until it's half full.
  3. Add Baking Soda: Mix 1 tablespoons (15g) of baking soda per liter of water in the bag. Then, reseal the cap.
  4. Shake to Dissolve: Vigorously shake the bag for 30 seconds to fully dissolve the baking soda.
  5. Add Lemon Juice: For each liter of water, mix in 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of lemon juice. Fill the rest of the bag with warm water. Let any fizzing settle before closing the cap.
  6. Shake and Release Pressure: Shake the bag for 10 seconds, then carefully release any built-up pressure. Repeat this step several times.
  7. Rest the Solution: Lay the bag on its side with the solution inside for at least 4 hours.
  8. Drain and Rinse: Empty the bag and rinse it several times. Reattach the filter before using the bag again.
