How do I clean my LifeStraw Go Series mouthpiece?

You should clean your bottle regularly; we recommend a weekly cleaning to keep your bottle in tip-top shape.

To clean the mouthpiece, follow these simple steps:

• Remove the filter from the bottle.

• Remove the carbon capsule from the top of the filter.

• Soak your mouthpiece in a diluted bleach solution. Use ¼ teaspoon of bleach per 2 Cups of water (5 ml of bleach to 500 ml of water).

• Wash the mouthpiece along with the bottle and lid with detergent, and thoroughly rinse the membrane microfilter with water. Do not use soap to clean the filter body.

• Reassemble and drink up

If you are traveling and do not have access to clean water or household bleach, we recommend using a non-scented anti-bacterial wipe to clean your mouthpiece and then allow to dry before resuming use.
